Nine boats sailed into the Attenborough sunset for the last Wednesday race of the year in largely windless conditions. Duncan Adams led from the start, sailing for 21 minutes and finishing the race in 1st place, followed by 2nd place and regular Soloist Peter Hampshire and 3rd place Gary Cawthorn. Series winner Mike Pritchard watched from the shore as the sun set on the tailenders, some of who, including series runner-up Paul Jago, decided a direct return to the pontoon was more favourable than a finish on the night. Peter Hampshire’s perseverance was rewarded with a series 3rd place.
