🚤🌊 What a fantastic day we had at the club regatta on Sunday! Despite the light winds, we managed to have an exciting relay race using three of our club RS Visions boats. Each boat was sailed by two teams of 2 or 3 sailors, swapping each lap. The added challenge of a relay “baton” being an open can of Coke made it even more fun. Teams earned 15 points for bringing back the most Coke, and one member had to drink it to prove it wasn’t topped up with pond water! 😆
Everyone had a blast, and Boat 1 emerged as the clear winner, followed by Boat 2 and Boat 3. All teams did an incredible job retaining the Coke, but Boat 1 took the crown with 353 grams of Coke left. 🏆👏
Congrats to our winning team: Kev Milton, Leo Monahan, David and Karena Cooper who each received a bottle of wine. All the juniors were also awarded a carton of chocolates for their participation. Well done, everyone! 🍫🍷
While the race was on, other members enjoyed cruising the lake in their own boats. We wrapped up the day with a BBQ on the balcony, sharing food and drinks. 🍔🌭
Huge thanks to Ray Kemish for organizing the race and to the Safety crew for keeping everything running smoothly. 🙌
